NATCHEZ — Whose track is that? What is this tree called?
A weekend program great for the question-asking child will focus on the nature of the area on Jan. 31.
Historic Jefferson College’s Explore! program will travel the nature trail in winter. Children ages 9 to 12 are invited to attend.
Students will also start on a nature journal. Students should wear boots, long pants and other weather-appropriate gear. The class will take place rain or shine.
The class is from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Each class is limited to eight students, and pre-registration and payment is required to hold a spot.
Each class is $10. Cancellations must be received 24 hours ahead of class time to receive a refund of registration.
For more information on Explore!, or to sign up your child, come by the Prospere Hall Visitor Center, call 601-442-2901 or e-mail hjc@mdah.state.ms.us for a registration form. Historic Jefferson College is located on U.S. 61 North, 4 miles northeast of Natchez, and is administered by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History.
