Natchez native named to business journal’s top 40

JACKSON — Amy Strickland Tate, Government Relations Manager for TVA, has been named to the 2009 Class of the Mississippi Business Journal’s Top 40 Under 40.

The award program is designed to honor young Mississippians who have established themselves as business and community leaders. Nominees must also have made a positive impact on their respective communities through civic involvement.

Tate is a graduate of Leadership Mississippi and the Community Leadership Institute. She serves on the boards of the March of Dimes, Junior Achievement, the Mississippi Association of Partners in Education, and the Governor’s Energy Task Force.

She graduated from Adams County Christian School and has a political science degree from Mississippi University for Women. She and her husband Kevin live in Tupelo and have two young children.
