Twenty eight in parish arrested in early morning drug bust

vidalia — Twenty-eight individuals were arrested Tuesday by the Concordia Narcotics Task Force and six other agencies.

“Operation Wake Up Call” began at 4 a.m. with the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana probation and parole officers, the U.S. Marshal’s Service, Louisiana State Police, the FBI and Ferriday and Vidalia Police Departments arresting those with outstanding narcotics and felony warrants.

“I greatly appreciate the cooperation of all of these agencies in this continuing effort to battle drugs in the parish,” Sheriff Randy Maxwell said. “This was a good, solid operation that followed months of hard work.”

Maxwell said it was one of the largest drug and felony warrant round-up operations conducted in several years.

Those arrested were:

– Raymond C. Calhoun, 26, 200 Kyle Rd., Ferriday, on charges of distribution of Schedule II drugs (crack cocaine), two counts distribution of marijuana, and two counts of distribution of MDMA drugs (ecstasy). Bond set at $200,000.

– Veronica Nicole Dixon, 39, 102 Woodmont, on charges of possession of marijuana.

– Carol Haley, 43, 808 Alabama, Ferriday, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.

– Valeta Frazier, 44, 808 Louisiana Ave., Ferriday, bench warrant arrest for failure to appear in court on back fines and probation fee.

– Stacy Denny, 23, 7010 Hwy. 565, Monterey, on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

– Krista McClure, 42, 330 Traxler Addition Road, Ferriday, probation warrant (hold).

– Bill Graham, 29, 179 Cowan St., Ferriday, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of Schedule IV drugs (Vicodin).

– Ardonus K. Jefferson, 18, 1008 Delaware Ave., Ferriday, on charges of unauthorized entry of inhabited dwelling and aggravated assault.

– Neno Johnson, 22, No. 2 1/2 Browns Alley, Ferriday, on charges of aggravated battery.

– Ronnie Griggs, 43, 804 Eighth St., Ferriday, on charges of distribution of crack cocaine.

– Clorise Green, 50, 709 Sixth St., on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

– Anthony D. Jackson, 21, 112 Greathouse, Ferriday, on charges of two counts of distribution of Schedule II drugs (crack cocaine).

– Ronnie J. Jackson, 20, 112 Greathouse, Ferriday, on charges of distribution of marijuana and distribution of Schedule II drugs (crack cocaine).

– Rafael Jackson 25, 107 Virginia Ave., Ferriday, on charges of distribution of Schedule II drugs (crack cocaine).

– Frankie J. Thomas, 29, 602 First St., Ferriday, bench warrant arrest for failure to appear in court

– Frederick D. Saulsberry, 25, 709 S. Sixth St., Ferriday, on charges of distribution of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

– Joshua R. Whitley, 25, 27647 Louisiana 15, Ferriday, on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, two counts distribution of Schedule II drugs (crack cocaine) and aggravated battery.

– Patrick D. Foster, 26, 246 Eugene Road, Ferriday, on charges of aggravated assault and cyber stalking.

– Jerry D. Williams, 39, 707 Walnut, Vidalia, on charges of possession of Schedule II drugs (crack cocaine) and warrant for Adams County.

– Donterrius J. Weatherspoon, 17, 27739 Louisiana 15, Ferriday, on charges of possession of Schedule II drugs (crack cocaine) with intent to distribute.

– Patrick Harris, 37, Ferriday, on charges of felony theft greater than $300 and warrant for Tensas Parish.

– Kameron S. Scriber, 20, 356 Church Lane, Jonesville, on charges of possession of marijuana, violation of open container law and issuing worthless checks (over $100).

– Bradley W. Scriber, 23, 356 Church Lane, Jonesville, on charges of possession of marijuana and violation of open container law.

– Tameka R. Carter, 25, 100 Kyle Road, Ferriday, bench warrant arrest for failure to appear in court for sentencing for attempted possession of cocaine.

– George Gipson, 29, 153 Earl Davis Road, Ferriday, on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and simple burglary.

– John Yearby, 29, 711 Walnut, Vidalia, warrant on back fines.

– Mary Sturdivant, 23, 200 Arkansas Ave., distribution of crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia.
