Ferriday — The Arcade Theatre in downtown Ferriday will provide the stage and Ferriday Garden Club members will wear the styles in the upcoming style show and luncheon slated for March 20.
The event is themed “Downtown in Style” and will feature a mid-day meal catered by Rene Adams of Natchez. Door prizes offered through the event will be provided by area businesses.
The models will be wearing fashions from the Natchez boutique, Katie’s Ladies with Katie narrating the fashion display. Models include Josie Craig, Linda Delaney, Joy Irvin, Dawn Landers, Dorothy Perkins, Mary Lou Perkins, Dolly Smith, Jane Vegas and Dianne Watson.
Mary Beth Whitehead, Ferriday Garden Club Style Show Chair said the money raised at the show will help with ongoing projects.
“The style show and luncheon will provide the means to finance the maintenance of one of the club’s primary projects, the Bayou Memorial Park, a patriotic tribute to veterans,” she said.
The park displays a Blue Star Memorial Highway Marker along with over 50 American flags which fly at the park on patriotic holidays.
