Natchez — Lamar Spinks, in his first year with Aflac, won the rookie of the year award for the state of Mississippi.

The annual award is given to the first-year associate with the highest sales.

Spinks was third runner up overall in the state among veteran associates.

Because of his success, Spinks was recenlty promoted in management to the coordinator in training position.

Spinks is a lifelong resident of the Miss-Lou and is married to Delores Lanehart Spinks. He is the father of six children.

He is an active member of Parkway Baptist Church.
