NATCHEZ — A benefit bank account has been set up to help a Natchez man and his family.

Don Mitchell, 41, was involved in a motorcycle accident in Fayette Saturday, and suffered head trauma that required surgery, Mitchell family friend Elisa Carr said.

Mitchell is currently in critical condition at the Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, and has very limited medical insurance, Carr said.

The donated funds will be used to help pay medical costs, Carr said.

The money will also help with the loss of income Mitchell — who is the owner of Natchez CV Center — will sustain while being away from work, Carr said.

The bank account is at Britton & Koontz Bank, and anyone who wants to donate just needs to say that it is to the Don Mitchell Benefit Fund, Carr said.
