Frances Osborne

VIDALIA — Services for Frances B. Osborne, 91, of Vidalia, who died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, in Natchez, will be at 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church of Vidalia with Dr. Ralph Webber and the Rev. George Bonner officiating.
Burial will be at 3 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery, in Monroe, La., under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Vidalia.
Mrs. Osborne was born June 1, 1917, in Baskin, La., the daughter of Clifton Lynwood and Rosa Bell Booker. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Vidalia.
Mrs. Osborne and her husband, John Scott Osborne Sr., both grew up in Baskin. They were long-time residents of Ferriday and for the past 25 years, she lived in Vidalia.
She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and two brothers, Clifton Lynwood Booker Jr. and John David Booker.
Survivors include three sons, John S. Osborne and wife, Ann, both of Newton, Texas, Robert Osborne and wife, Joan, both of Longview, Texas and Gary Osborne and wife, Cynthia, both of West Monroe, La.; one daughter, Diane Costantini and husband, Eddie, both of Vidalia; two sisters, Virginia Smiley of Farmington, Mich. , and Mary Rose Tucker of New Iberia, La.; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Jeffery Osborne, Gary Glen Osborne Jr., Kenneth Osborne, Scott Osborne, Shane Osborne, Doug Page, Lt. Col. James M. McCleskey, Paul Kates and Brandon Eads.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Vidalia.
