Two to perform at gospel fest

Vidalia — Today’s First Saturday Gospel Fest will feature two different blends of gospel music.
The program which will be at 6 p.m. at Cornerstone Church in Vidalia will feature David Daniels, son of Evangelist Jack Daniels, singing country gospel and The Undertakers of Natchez singing old time gospel music.
Daniels has a rich Randy Travis type voice used to sing gospel music with a country flavor. He has appeared at many churches, youth evangelism conferences, and other singing events for the past two years.
The Undertakers is a local group which was formed a few years ago to sing the old time gospel music. The trio consists of Jeremy Fakes, Johnathon Hargrave and Clarence “Bear” Anderson backed by a full instrumental band. Their motto is “We didn’t come to do a funeral, but we’ve come to lift you up in the mighty name of Jesus.”
First Saturday is a community Gospel Music Event held on the first Saturday of each month. The community is invited to come and enjoy an evening of uplifting music. A love offering will be received. Call 318-336-4690 for additional information.
