Natchez — Services for James. W. Mooney, 91, of Natchez, who died Feb. 5, 2009 at his residence in Natchez will be at 2 p.m. on Monday at Trace City Baptist Church in Natchez with the Rev. Ray Holland officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time at the church.
Mr. Mooney was born March 9, 1917, in Lee County the son of Emmett Mooney and Myrtle Ferguson Mooney. He was a member of Trace City Baptist Church and an auto mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Julia F. Mooney.
Survivors include two sons, James Edwin Mooney and his wife Tammy and Gerald Wayne Mooney and his wife Sharon all of Natchez; two daughters, Deloris Brownell and her husband Lee of Andrew, Texas and Jo Ann Pearson and her husband Jack of Mobile, Ala.; one sister, Estelle Woodall of Little Rock, Ark., seven grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Stephens, Steve Troutman, Donald Woodall, Jack Pearson, Gary Sims and Bill Mooney.
Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Walker and James Dakota Mooney.
