VIDALIA — David “Dusty” Harveston, 50, of Vidalia, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at Natchez Regional Medical Center.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mr. Harveston was born April 16, 1958, in Natchez, the son of Ted Harveston, of Natchez, and Lavada Andrews Roberts of Vidalia. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Vidalia.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Lewis and Bertha Harveston; maternal grandparents, Roscoe F. and Maranda Andrews; one sister, Darlene Harveston Sharbono; two stepfathers, Henry Harold Zeagler Sr., and Alvah Ray Roberts; three uncles, Floyd Andrews, Billy Ray Harveston and Gene Harveston; and one aunt, Bronnis Harveston.
Survivors include his parents; one daughter, Jessica Paige Harveston of Vidalia; two sons, David Wayne Harveston Jr., and family, all of Vidalia, and Wayland Kermit Harveston of Mississippi; one brother, Robert F. Harveston, and family, all of Vidalia; two half-brothers, Harold Zeagler Jr., and family, all of Vidalia, and Ted Harveston Jr., and family, all of Dallas; one half-sister, Pattie Harveston of Dallas; one uncle, Lewis Harveston, and family, all of Natchez; fiancée, Claudine Neal and children, Holy and Blake Neal; ex-wives, Melany Harveston, Darlene Good and Danna Keyes; three grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
