NATCHEZ — Services for Learntee “Mutt” Thompson, 64, of Lancaster, Texas, formerly of Natchez, who died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, at Glenwood Medical Center, West Monroe, La., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Baptist Church with the Rev. K.D. LaGrone officiating.
Burial will follow at Greater St. Mark Church Cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thompson was born Aug. 11, 1944, in Natchez, the daughter of Willie and Alma Griffin. She was a retired private sitter. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Henry Thompson; and her parents.
Survivors include 10 children, Willie E. Griffin and Cedric D. Thompson and wife, Augustine, all of St. Paul, Minn., Dr. Jennifer Jordan and husband, Dr. Daryl Jordan, both of Nashville, Tenn., Melanie Heckard of Minneapolis, Minn., the Rev. Gregory Thompson and wife, Latisha, both of Lancaster; Lynette Thompson, Mack Henry Thompson Jr. and wife, Teleter, Lisa R. Thompson, Felicia Thompson and Anthony Thompson, all of Natchez; three brothers, Leroy Griffin of Natchez, Boshay Hatton and Joe Hatton, both of Minneapolis; two sisters, Juanita Robinson of Natchez and Mary Thomas of Minneapolis; 26 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one special great-granddaughter, , Aniyah Thompson; two aunts, Louverna Minor and Rosie Lee Johnson; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Shon Jackson, Tony Duncan, Cedric Green, Marion Pollard, Alan Henderson and Donald Bates.
