SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Natchez native Benjamin D. Goss has been inducted as a Dean’s Distinguished Research Fellow by the College of Business Administration at Missouri State University.
The award is given to the college’s faculty members who publish three or more research articles per year in academic peer-reviewed journals over a five-year period.
In addition to this award, Goss has previously received two best-paper awards for research presentations at academic conferences and a national teaching excellence award during his five years of service at Missouri State.
In 2007, Goss co-founded the Journal of Sport Administration & Supervision, an online peer-reviewed academic journal designed to publish research of practical relevance to practitioners in the sport industry.
He now serves as its editor.
Goss, who held previous faculty appointments at Winthrop University and Clemson University, is a 1990 graduate of Natchez High School and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C.L. Goss of Natchez.
