FERRIDAY — Services for Alta Lee Dotson Davenport, 78, of Gallatin, Tenn., formerly of Wildsville, La., who died Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, in Gallatin, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Comer Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Don Tate officiating.
Burial will follow at Evangeline Church Cemetery, in Wildsville, under the direction of Comer Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Davenport was born Aug. 25, 1930, in Knox City, Texas, the daughter of Wesley and Icie Mae Dotson. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James R. Davenport; one daughter, Kathryn Duncan; one son, James Robert Davenport; two brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Carver of Gallatin; five grandchildren, Ann White, Donna Matthews, both of Gallatin, Charles Duncan, Ronnie Duncan and Robert Duncan, all of Monterey; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Matt Mulvihill, Jay Sturgis, Charles Duncan, Robert Duncan and Ronnie Duncan.
