VIDALIA — Services for Earnestine Walker, 50, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Stephen Baptist Church, in Vidalia, with the Rev. Dan Alexander officiating.
Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Ms. Walker was born Oct. 9, 1958, in Natchez, the daughter of Robert Hardy and Dorothy Walker Baker.
Survivors include her mother of Vidalia; her lifetime companion, Willie Brown of Natchez; one son, Donte Walker and fiancée, Joy Lockman; one daughter, Tamekia Gallow and husband, Alce, all of Baton Rouge; three brothers, Huey Walker and wife, Vanessa, both of Austin, Texas, Bennie Scott and wife, Michelle, both of Margate, Fla., and her twin, Earnest Walker of Sacramento, Calif.; three sisters, Hattie Neal and husband, Vincent, Luberta Lyons and husband, Don, and Linda Alsworth, all of Vidalia; six grandchildren; a special aunt who raised her, Ludie Bell of Vidalia; and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
