Mrs. Coley was born Sandra Faye Holloway, May 29, 1942, in Carson, the daughter of Paul Harris Holloway and Winnie Bell Polk Holloway Prowell. Her family moved to Natchez when she was in the second grade and she has been a resident of Natchez ever since. She was involved in the Spring and Fall Pilgrimages. She also served as a hostess at Rosalie.
Sandra was a Baptist and an active member of Parkway Baptist Church while living in Natchez.
In the last few years she lived at The Liberty Community Living Center; the staff was so loving, caring and kind to her. She loved them all and cherished them as part of her family. Throughout her illness, she continued to witness for Christ and taught a Bible study class to the residents. Her faith never wavered, even in her final days. Sandra Faye Holloway Coley was truly a faithful servant of God until the end.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include one son, George Ellis Coley Jr. and wife, April; two precious grandchildren who she loved so much, Victoria Denese Coley and Brently Seth Coley; two brothers, Paul Harris Holloway Jr. of Norfolk, Va., and David Michael Holloway and wife, Gail, both of Baton Rouge; one nephew, Paul Holloway of Norfolk; one niece, Tamah Holloway Ward and husband, John, both of Bude; one great-nephew, Gavin Ward of Bude; and a number of extended “adopted” family members, friends and loved ones.
