FERRIDAY — Local fire officials responded to a blaze at an abandoned building on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Saturday.

When fire officials arrived at the wood frame house at 611 Martin Luther King Blvd., the fire was already fully engaged and eventually resulted in a full loss of the building, Fire Chief Joe Sontoyo said.

No one lived at the house, and the cause of the fire is under investigation, Sontoyo said.

The Concordia Fire District No. 2 provided assistance at the scene of the blaze.
