NATCHEZ — Services for Annie R. Latham Carter, 76, of Natchez, who died Thursday, March 5, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Zion Hill No. 1 Baptist Church with the Rev. Melvin Jackson officiating.
Burial will follow at Milford Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and from noon until service time Friday at the church.
Mrs. Carter was born July 10, 1932, in Adams County, the daughter of Emerson Latham and Mary Norman Latham. She was a member of Zion Hill No. 1 Baptist Church where she served as a mother of the church. She was a retired dietitian with the Adams County Sheriff’s office.
Mrs. Carter attended Adams County Senior Citizens facility where she crocheted, loved sewing, puzzles and loved people.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one daughter, Evandia Mary Dunmore.
Survivors include one daughter, Annie Dunbar of Natchez; two sons, Johnnie Dunmore of Gulfport and James Dunmore of Oklahoma City, Okla.; four sisters, Elizabeth Latham of Natchez, Mary Alice Williams of Detroit, Laura Askew of Southfield, Mich., and Corrine Henderson and husband, Bennie, both of Los Angeles; five brothers, Henry Latham of Silver Springs, Md., Freddie Latham and wife, Dan Ethel, both of Gary, Ind., Charlie Latham of wife, Angela, both of Natchez, Albert Latham and wife, Bernicia, both of Gonzales, La., and Larry Latham and wife, Patricia, both of Detroit; five grandchildren, Corey Dunmore of Vicksburg, LaToya Dunbar of Houston, Texas, Christopher Dunbar of Natchez, Annika Dunmore of Jackson, and special grandchild, Rae Evans; one great-granddaughter, Makynzie Dunmore of Vicksburg; one godchild, Sarah Davis; and two special friends, Alma Russell and Inetta Givens, both of Natchez.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
