NATCHEZ — Services for Betty Jean Vicks, 50, of Natchez, who died Friday, March 6, 2009, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Zion No. 1 Baptist Church with the Rev. Ernest Ford Jr. officiating.
Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of George F. West Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Miss Vicks was born Nov. 23, 1958, the daughter of Dan and Bessie Vicks. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Lionel Vicks.
Survivors include one son, Scotty Dunbar; two brothers, Dan Vicks Jr. and Kenny Vicks; one sister, Lenora Vicks-Thomas and husband, Stanley; and three nephews, Dan Buck, Dionel Vicks and Kenny Vicks Jr.
Pallbearers will be Maurice Duncan, Joseph Cain, Robert Franklin, Gilfred Thomas, Paul Morris, Benjamin Duke, Steven Hoggatt and Fredrick White.
