LAFAYETTE, La. — Vidalia enjoyed a magical season, but it came to a halt in the LHSAA Class 3A state championship game, as the Vikings fell to Richwood 75-61. Vidalia couldn’t claw its way back from a 14-point halftime deficit. They trailed 68-61 with a minute left but Richwood hit its free throws down the stretch to lengthen the lead and win the championship. Vidalia finishes its season with a 32-2 record.
