NATCHEZ — A domestic dispute led to gunfire early Sunday morning.

Natchez Police Sgt. Craig Godbold said a call came in at 6:12 a.m. Sunday from a witness who was driving down D’Evereux Drive.

The witness reported a male and a female sitting in a Green Ford Explorer parked on the side of the road arguing.

When police arrived, the car was locked and no one was in it, Godbold said. However, policemen saw blood on the side of the vehicle and blood inside as well.

Godbold said the tag number was un against a computer database, and police officials were able to pull up the victim’s address, 1403 Lafayette St.

Police officials went to the address to gather more information.

The victim’s mother said it was her daughter, Orshawnda Williams, 23, and her boyfriend, Ketron Lutcher, 26, involved in the fight that led to Lutcher shooting Williams.

Godbold said Lutcher shot Williams in the left arm. The bullet traveled completely through her arm and hit her in the neck, he said.

“It was not a life-threatening injury,” Godbold said.

Williams was treated and released from Natchez Regional Medical Center.

An aggravated assault warrant has been issues, but Lutcher has not yet been arrested.

Godbold said Lutcher’s address is listed as 302 Ninth St., St. Joseph, La., but had been living with Williams at 1403 Lafayette St.

Godbold said they are searching for Lutcher in both areas.

Police are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of Lutcher through Crimestoppers at 601-442-5000.
