NATCHEZ — Services for Glyndon “Glenda” Tullis Frazier, 85, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Lovely Lane United Methodist Church with the Rev. Frank Davis officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the church.
Mrs. Frazier was born March 4, 1924, in Lawrence County, the daughter of John J. and Mary Idella Rushing Tullis. She was a precious lady who loved her family and friends, and was loved by everyone who met her. A special and unassuming woman, she genuinely cared for people. She was a generous mother and a long-standing member of Lovely Lane United Methodist Church.
After many years of service, Mrs. Frazier retired from Jefferson Davis Memorial Hospital where she worked as a nurse’s aid. Her favorite pastimes were playing dominoes with her friends as often as possible and cooking for friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Julian Frazier Sr.; and all of her siblings, including seven sisters, Mattie Renfroe, Hattie Reid, Betty Miller, Henrietta Reid, Dorothy Yates, Susie Lambert and Etta Wilkerson; and one brother, John A. Tullis.
Survivors include two daughters, Sheila Renee Frazier of Brookhaven and Glenda Gayle Chester of Natchez; two sons, Roy Julian Frazier and wife, Lynn, both of Birmingham, Ala., and Daniel Lynn Frazier and wife, Liz, both of Hot Springs, Ark.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
