FAYETTE – Services for Burnell Morgan, 82, of Fayette, who died Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jefferson County High School with the Rev. J.L. Hammitte officiating.
Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery in Fayette under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home of Fayette.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Morgan was born Jan. 28, 1927, in Jefferson County, the son of Sidney Morgan and Henrietta Stampley.
He was self-employed and a member of Salem Baptist Church and the Jefferson County Sheriff Auxiliary.
Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Louise Morgan.
Survivors include a number of relatives and friends.
