NATCHEZ — Potentially dangerous weather will be moving into Natchez this evening.
Adams County Emergency Management Director Stan Owens said the greatest potential for a storm moving into the area is from 5 p.m. to midnight.
“Be alert of the weather,” Owens said.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Mike Edmonston said tonight’s storms will have the capability to produce tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds.
Owens said in the event of a tornado, seek shelter in interiors rooms of a house or other building.
Those in mobile homes should seek more secure shelter, Owens said.
Adams County is currently under a tornado warning until 7 p.m.
Entergy has additional crews in the area on standby in the event of power outages.
