Article on gay community was wrong

I would like to go on record to totally and completely agree with Mr. Ben Wyles letter on March 29, denouncing Mr. Thom Miller’s reference to gay men in Natchez.

Mr. Miller said in a Profile article that he estimates 25 percent of all men in Natchez are gay. Further, Mr. Miller said “all  men in Natchez are gay after midnight.”

How did this person come up with these figures? I would like to go on record totally and completely disagreeing with Mr. Miller’s statement. I am not gay. None of my children or grandchildren are gay. None of our friends are gay.

I resent Mr. Miller putting me, my family and friends in this category. Mr. Miller, have you ever or do you read the Bible? Attend the church of your choice? Or talk to a minister? Or believe in God? His word strongly states, in many verses of the Bible, that homosexuality is a sin; an abomination to God.

To The Democrat, I do not think this type information is good for our children, city or county. Yes, I know about freedom of speech. This article will not change me in any form, but it could and possibly will influence some of our young people.

Apparently bringing homosexuality public is more important than the harm that could be caused.
