NATCHEZ — Natchez is under a severe thunderstorm warning until 12:15 p.m. and a severe thunderstorm watch until 5 p.m.

National Weather Service Meteorologist Eric Carpenter said the Natchez area will likely experience heavy rains and wind gusts of up to 60 mph.

Some small hail has been reported in northeast Natchez, Carpenter said.

A second line of storms will move through the area this evening between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
