Natchez —ArtsNatchez Gallery will feature artists Helen Langlow and Keith Karlson as April artist of the month at a reception at 5 p.m. today.

Langlow, who grew up in Natchez, has been painting for over 40 years. Her interest in painting occurred at an early age when she saw her father taking lessons from a Texas artist who had come to town. After college, while living in New Orleans, and working as a secretary for an oil company, that she began taking art lessons.

Photographer, Keith Karlson, grew up surrounded by art in Europe and lived the majority of his childhood in Sweden and Denmark. Karlson did not rediscover his creative yearnings until later in life.

For the past two years, Karlson has been creating traveling altar boxes and contributes several life changing events for this new creative outlet.
