NATCHEZ — Services for Missionary Bertha Jackson, 84, of Natchez, who died Monday, April 6, 2009, in Pine Bluff, Ark., will be at 2 p.m. today at Murray Temple Church of God in Christ.
Burial will follow at Jackson Family Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Jackson was born Sept. 3, 1924, in Knoxville, the daughter of Jack and Fannie McNeil.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a loving husband, Henry Jackson Jr.; one son, Charles Edward Jackson; one daughter, Carrie Ann Jackson Fleming; and several siblings.
Survivors include four sons, Harvey Jackson, Billy Joe Jackson and wife, Anna, David Jackson and wife, Geraldine, and Johnny Jackson and wife, Maybelle; seven daughters, Jessica Ford, Juanita Hood and husband, Melvin, Pearlie Sentell, Martha Sullivan and husband, Issac, LaStephanie Lorraine Jackson, Brenda Jackson and Thelma “Gail” Denham and husband, Thomas; two brothers, Willie McNeil and James McNeil; two sisters, Mabel Dunbar and Rose Washington; 45 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
