VIDALIA — Services for Lillie Spillers, 81, of Vidalia, who died Monday, April 13, 2009, at Camelot Leisure Living in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Vidalia with the Rev. Dan Glenn officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Vidalia.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Spillers was born Oct. 9, 1927, in Sicily Island, the daughter of James Spears and Nanny Smith Spears. She was a self employed real estate agent. Mrs. Spillers was a member of First Baptist Church of Vidalia where she taught Sunday school and was a member of WMU. She was also a member of the Vidalia Garden Club, Order of the Eastern Star, the Concordia Parish Realtor Association and a member of the budget finance committee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Spillers; one son, John L. Spillers; and her parents.
Survivors include one daughter, Dianne Landers and husband, Freddie; one son, Buddy Spillers and wife, Phyliss, all of Lake St. John; eight grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
