ACME, La. — Services for Shirley Ann Rogers McCall, 67, of Acme, La., who died Monday, April 13, 2009, in Ferriday, will be at 2 p.m. today at Acme Baptist Church with the Rev. James Gass and the Rev. Cindy Robinson officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mrs. McCall was born May 23, 1941, in Ferriday, the daughter of Robert Ruben Rogers and Bobbie Colleen Rogers. She was a homemaker and a nursing assistant. Mrs. McCall was also a member of Acme Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Lee McCall.
Survivors include her husband, Leon McCall; two daughters, Bobbie Sanders and husband, Milton, of Acme and Karen Gass and husband, James, of Sicily Island; two brothers, Jake Rogers and wife, Juanita, and Bobby Rogers, all of Monterey; seven grandchildren, Michael and Will Sanders, Alicia Wiggins, Gwenn Pitts, Jenny Ogle, Stephen and Jonathan Gass; and three great-grandchildren, Madalynn and Raelynn Sanders and Ava Wiggins.
Pallbearers will be Michael Sanders, Will Sanders, Sherman Wiggins, Joe Rogers, Jonathan Gass, James Ogle and Don Pitts.
Honorary pallbearer will be Stephen Gass.
Memorial donations may be made in memory of Mrs. McCall to St. Jude Research Hospital.
