NATCHEZ — Corrections Corporation of America will have a career fair for its Adams County Correctional Center Monday through Wednesday.
The fair will be from noon to 8 p.m. each day at the Natchez Convention Center.
Following CCA’s recently announced award of a Federal Bureau of Prisons contract, the company is looking to fill more than 400 positions.
“We are recruiting for a diverse spectrum of positions,” CCA senior director of Human Resources Mike Latko said. “Operating a correctional facility is like running a small town. The variety of professionals required, from management and administrative roles to frontline security and health services experts, is extensive. All of these careers are essential.”
CCA is seeking applicants in a variety of correctional specialties. The first day of the fair will focus on recruiting for correctional security jobs, including correctional officers, senior correctional officers, correctional counselors and others.
Tuesday will center on administrative and support positions, including correctional educators and inmate programs specialists.
Wednesday will be devoted to identifying correctional healthcare staff, including licensed practical nurses, registered nurses and others.
Applicants may apply online during the fair, and CCA representatives will provide candidates information about the company, specific career opportunities and background check requirements. Hiring will not occur during the career fair.
Due to the anticipated heavy turnout, individuals attending the career fair are encouraged to complete an online application in advance at www.ccajob.com to expedite the process on site.
