FERRIDAY — A knife-wielding robber made off with a bag of food and an undetermined amount of cash at the Ferriday Sonic Tuesday.

The incident happened at approximately 9:35 p.m.

A female Sonic attendant was going to deliver a food order to station 15 when a man with a knife in hand and wearing a mask over his face approached the attendant, Ferriday Assistant Chief of Police Johnny Evans said.

The assailant snatched the attendant’s apron, which contained an unknown amount of money, and the food from the tray she was carrying, Evans said.

The matter is under investigation by FPD, and the police are in the process of gathering suspects, Evans said.
