Natchez — What started out as a vision and a test ended up as a reality blessing. The Rev. Tracy A. Collins stood on the grounds of Warren Tully Camp Site and visualized children running about and completing the challenges that Warren Tully had issued.

That vision came true three years ago when Collins organized and set up the first Bethlehem Baptist Association Christian Camp.

The camp site, this year has a few more additions to its four night and five day stay and those associated with the camp are looking forward to another year at the camp.

The ultimate goal of the summer camp is to win children over to Jesus Christ in a fun way minus the confusion that can come when children and adults are studying the Bible.

All of the classes are taught in a fashion that encourage participation from the children. The children who have gone to the camps in the past are anxious to sign up again, Collins said. But enrollment is limited to 90 children.

Camp begins on May 31 and runs through June 4. The camp will be at Warner Tully YMCA Camp. Deadline to register is May 15.

Cost for the week is $170 and includes lodging, transportation, meals, a T-shirt and lots of fun activities. Donations are welcome from vendors and individuals.
