Ole Miss will host Regional

OXFORD – For the fifth time in the last six seasons Ole Miss will host an NCAA Regional , the program found out when the NCAA announced their 16 host site selections on Sunday.
The entire NCAA Tournament bracket – including the eight national seeds – will be announced at 11:30 a.m. Monday on ESPN. At that time, Ole Miss will find out which three teams will be coming to Oxford for the tournament and the identity of their first round opponent.
The event will run May 29 – June 1 at Oxford- University Stadium/Swayze Field.
Ole Miss (40-17, 20-10 SEC) claimed a share of the 2009 Southeastern Conference regular-season championship to bring home the program’s seventh conference title in school history. It marks the seventh straight post-season appearance for the Rebels and eighth overall under head coach Mike Bianco.
“We’re very excited to be hosting a regional for the fifth time in six years,” said Bianco. “The players have had a terrific year and are certainly deserving of this. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to play in front of our fans for another weekend and to have another chance to take the field at Oxford-University Stadium.”
