FAYETTE — Services for Darnell Grayson, 50, of Fayette, who died Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m. today at House of Prayer Church.

Burial will follow at Rosehill No. 2 Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Mr. Grayson was born June 1, 1958, in Natchez, the son of Burnell Felton and Ethel Ruth Grayson.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Jackie Queen; one nephew, Kenneth Grayson Jr.; and one uncle, Johnnie Grayson Jr.

Survivors include a loving and devoted wife, Helen Marie Grayson; his mother, Ethel Ruth and husband, Hezekiah Queen; three sons, Micheal Young and Mark Young, both of Houston, Texas, and Kenneth Jenkins of Fayette; one stepson, Devalon Reed of Fayette; one stepdaughter, Zelenza Castell of Fayette; five sisters, Victoria Green and husband, Larry, Georgia Grayson Culbert, Constance Buie and husband, Marcus, Carolyn Queen and Shelda Queen; one brother, Kenneth Grayson Sr., all of Fayette; two aunts, Connie Carson of Jackson and Isabella Queen of Fayette; one uncle, Seawood Grayson and wife, Minnie Bea; one great-aunt, Ethel Ann Amos of Texas; mother-in-law, Clara Reed of Fayette; one step-grandson; two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
