NATCHEZ — A local teen was arrested Sunday after a shooting that did not result in any injuries.
J’Quarm Antion Ellison, 17, 7B Ingram Circle, was arrested by the Adams County Sheriff’s Office on charges of aggravated assault.
Ellison allegedly fired three shots from a .22-caliber revolver at the shooting’s intended victim.
The incident happened at the victim’s girlfriend’s house at 19A Ingram Circle, Adams County Sheriff Angie Brown said.
No motive for the shooting has been established, but Ellison was reportedly yelling at the victim before the shooting, Brown said.
Ellison was allegedly uncooperative when deputies arrived at his residence, Brown said.
“He was yelling at them and very combative,” she said.
After handcuffing Ellison, deputies were able to recover the weapon used in the incident, as well as spent cartridges, Brown said.
Ellison was detained without bond Sunday.
