HAZLEHURST (AP) — Two people were killed Tuesday in a small airplane crash near the Copiah County airport.
Details were sketchy Tuesday afternoon, but Gerry Mosley, a mechanic and pilot, was on board when the plane crashed. The identity of the passenger has not been confirmed.
Witnesses told WJTV-TV in Jackson that the plane was making an emergency landing at the airport near Hazlehurst when it crashed.
A phone message left with Larry Wells, an official with the Federal Aviation Administration, was not immediately returned.
