Marrion Green

FAYETTE — Services for Marrion Lloyd Green, 62, who died Thursday, May 28, 2009, at Natchez Regional Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pine Grove Baptist Church, in Stampley, with the Rev. Percy Turner officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robert D. Mackel and Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Green was born Jan. 10, 1947, in Jefferson County, the son of Lloyd and Katie Green. He attended Jefferson County and Adams County public schools. He was employed by Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company, later being Fidelity Tire Manufacturing.
Mr. Green was a dedicated member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and served as president of the East End Huntsmen Association of Compadre Guns Hunting Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lucille Graves; and one brother, James Wesley Green.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Weir Green; three sons, Orlando Green and wife, Michelle, of Biloxi, Ventris Green and wife, Shunta, and Nigel Green; one daughter, Mirian Green, all of Natchez; one grandson, Anthony K. Green of Lafayette, La.; one granddaughter, E’Miri J. Clemons of Natchez; two great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; five sisters, Katie Ruth Dinelli and husband, Moraye, of Detroit, Versa Cole and husband, Vernon, and Getta Singleton and husband, William, all of Natchez, Roseanna Lenoir of Zachary, La., and Betty M. Butler of Rowlette, Texas; six sisters-in-law, Mildred Briggs, Mary Ruth Hoggatt, Gloria Middleton, Annie Singleton and Ernestine Thomas and husband, James, all of Natchez, and Elsie Turner and husband, Billy Joe, of Hattiesburg; one brother-in-law, Freddie Weir Jr. and wife, Hattie, of Natchez; a number of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; a very special friend, Sophronia Evans; and the East End Huntsmen Association of Compadre Guns Hunting Club members.
Pallbearers will be Autry Clayton, Burnell Charles, Dewayne Bowser, Dwight Harper, Kelvin Ray White and Charles Boxley.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Edward Malone, Adam Abrahams, Charles Arbuthnot, Ivory Moore, the Rev. Nathaniel Malone, Willie Washington Jr., Thomas Singleton Jr., Don Gordon and other East End Huntsmen Association of Compadre Guns Hunting Club members.
