GLOSTER — Services for Kobie Jermaine “Nu Nu” Cotton Sr., 30, of Baker, La., who died Sunday, May 31, 2009, at Field Memorial Hospital in Centreville, will be at 1 p.m. today at Homochitto Association Building in Gloster.
Burial will follow at Damascus Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time today at the Homochitto Association Building.
Mr. Cotton was born Jan. 11, 1979, in Chicago, the son of Thomas C. Jackson and Lois Cotton-Jones.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, L.C. and Ruthie Cotton; paternal grandfather, Prince Jackson; one aunt, Wilma Norman; and three uncles.
Survivors include two daughters, Kamyra Cotton and Ku’Nyria Cotton; three sons, Kobie Cotton Jr., JaKobie Butler and JaCarri Cotton; his parents; one brother, Kenneth “KJ” Jones; one sister, Kenyiatta “Nanaye” Jones; mothers of his children, Sherrie Webb and Melinda Butler; two godbrothers, Tito Ferguson and JaQuay Lowery; 16 aunts; eight uncles; and a number of other relatives and friends.
