Millar to minister at Natchez Aglow, local churches

Natchez — The Natchez Aglow Fellowship announced the return of speaker and minister, the Rev. Joan Millar.
Millar will be the featured speaker at the Natchez Aglow meeting at 10 a.m., June 13 at the Historic Natchez Foundation, 108 S. Commerce Street.
Millar will also be guest minister at the Natchez First Assembly of God, 176 Liberty Road, for the 10:30 a.m. on June 14.
The following weekend she will be guest minister for a pastors’ conference at Bethel Church, 204 Airport Road, Vidalia.
All Miss-Lou residents are invited to attend these events.
Millar is a native of Guyana, South America. Following a call of God to be a missionary to the United States, she immigrated to New York City in 1988 and immediately became actively involved in ministry. She has been an ordained Assembly of God minister for over 30 years.
In 1993 she was appointed as a missionary to the United States with the U. S. Missions Department of the Assemblies of God in Springfield, Mo.
She spent several years in New Orleans as the leader of the Assemblies of God School of Urban Missions and Bible College, and at that time was a frequent guest of Natchez churches and Christian groups.
From New Orleans she relocated to Oakland, Calif., pioneering a School of Urban Missions in that city.
She currently resides in New York, and is active in training programs for pastors and lay leaders.
Millar is also a popular keynote speaker for conferences, conventions, and seminars in North and South America, Africa, and the Caribbean Islands.
