NATCHEZ — By the end of July one Natchez family practitioner will be leaving town and two family doctors will be leaving employment at Natchez Regional Medical Center to start their own private practice.

Regional’s Vice President of Medical Affairs Dr. Kenneth Stubbs said Dr. Rick Jeansonne, who operates a private practice, will be leaving Natchez to work in another family practice in Louisiana.

Jeansonne’s practice has been bought by Dr. Matt Verucchi and Dr. Scott Wolfe, both family practice doctors employed by NRMC.

Verucchi and Wolfe are scheduled to be open and operational by early August.

Stubbs said Verucchi and Wolfe’s departure will actually benefit Regional by lowering the facility’s operating costs.
