NATCHEZ – Services for Rosa Davis Kent, 50, of Natchez, who died Monday, June 8, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bright Star Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Bude.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today and from noon until service time Saturday at the church.
Ms. Kent was born Aug. 19, 1958, in Natchez, the daughter of Henrietta Davis and Esau Washington.
She was a member of Bright Star Baptist Church choir.
Ms. Kent was preceded in death by her father; one daughter, Jerri Lynn Ellis; one grandson, Lyntrell Darnae Ellis.
Survivors include a loving mother, Henrietta Davis; four brothers, Larry Davis and wife, Priscilla, both of Lake Charles, La., Jerry Wayne Davis and wife, Sharon, both of Natchez and Joe Washington and wife, Connie, both of Milwaukee, Wis.; three sisters, Lisa Davis, Lillie Ruth Adams and husband, Greg and Betty Jean Cusic and husband, Tracy, all of Natchez; three uncles, George Washington and wife, Katie Ruth, both of Port Gibson, Roosevelt Washington of Fayette and Willie Washington of Natchez; special friends, Maxine Seals, Pamela Williams and Treva Thomas, all of Natchez; and a number on nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
