SALLIS — Graveside services for Alvis Wayne Lewis of Pineville, La., who died Saturday, June 13, 2009, at Rapides Regional Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Harmonia Methodist Church Cemetery.
Burial will follow under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Pineville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Lewis was a relay manager for the NRG Corporation. He was also a Vietnam veteran.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Louise Wilkerson; one grandson, William Robertson Lewis; and one brother, Terry Lewis.
Survivors include one son, Shannon Lewis and wife, Jana, of Sallis; two daughters, Jessica Michgelsen and husband, Peter, of Denham Springs, La., and Madelyn Lewis of Natchez; his father and stepmother, Charlie and Margaret Lewis of Hazlehurst; one brother, Robert Bruce of Alexandria, La.; three sisters, Debra Gentry, Scarlett Lewis and Bridgett Lewis; three grandsons, Eli, Adam and Aden; and a number of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
