VIDALIA — Legislative changes to the makeup of the Concordia Parish Economic and Industrial Development District’s board were made effective last week with the governor’s signature.

The changes to the CPEIDD’s charter will allow the president of the police jury or an appointee to serve on the organization’s board, which is composed of the mayors of the parish municipalities and three members-at-large.

The charter requires that one of the members-at-large be from the Monterey area.
