Hershel H. Wilson
VIDALIA — Hershel H. Wilson, 95, of Vidalia, died June 22 at Natchez Regional Medical Center. He was born June 13, 1914, in Columbia County, Ark. to Leon and Dera Booth Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Jones Wilson, whom he married on July 26, 1936; his parents; brothers, Homer Wilson and Drew Wilson; and a sister, Dessie Mae Beene Summer.
Survivors include nieces and nephews and a number of friends. He was loved by all who knew him.
Mr. Wilson was employed as a field gauger for Ashland Oil. He was a long time member of Vidalia Methodist Church where he served as an usher for many years.
The family wishes to thank his family at the Magnolia House and wonderful caregivers.
Visitation will be at 9 a.m. today at Vidalia Methodist Church with a funeral service at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Ray Varnado. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. at Village Methodist Cemetery in Village Ark. near Magnolia. Pallbearers will be his nephews. Arrangements are by Young’s Funeral Home of Vidalia.
