TWENTY YEARS AGO — Forty-year-old Tony D’Angelis of Natchez finishes first in the 40-49-year-old division during the Andrew Jackson Life Magnolia Triathlon in Jackson with a time of 1.33:45.

TEN YEARS AGO — A 28-second penalty costs Rory McAdams and allows Paul Read to finish second in the final event of the Natchez Bicycle Classic – the Trippe’s Western Auto Downtown Criterium – and in first place overall.

FIVE YEARS AGO — Taji Dorsey qualifies for the regional meet by taking second place in the 100 meters, first in the 200 meters and first in a select 400 relay team at the Southern Association Track & Field Championships.
