NATCHEZ — Services for Ruth Nations, who died Friday, June 26, 2009, were Monday, June 29, 2009, at Cranfield Baptist Church.
Burial followed at the New Hope Baptist Church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Mrs. Nations went to be with her loved ones in heaven June 26. She left this world with her loved ones near.
She was met by her mother and father, two brothers, two sisters and she was finally reunited with her beloved husband, Charlie Nations and her favorite grandchild, Amanda McElroy McCoy. They rejoiced at the pearly gates to be together again. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include two daughters Cathy Bowman and husband Gary, Tammy Melton; one special daughter, Helen Nations; three sons, Keith Nations, Kevin Nations, Tommy McElroy and wife, Angie; two special sons, Hiram Melton and Randy Freeman; one sister, Geneva Nations and husband, Rocky; two brothers, Carl Hedgebeth and James Hedgebeth and wife, Lillie; 15 grandchildren, Stephanie Bowman, T.J. McElroy and wife, Laura, Jaime Murphy and husband, Floyd, Christie Gossett and husband, Boo, Tracy Hester and husband, Tony, Jennifer Watson and husband, Chris, Rebecca, Misty and Billy Nations, Michelle Ladnier and husband, Kelly, Jeffery Adams and wife, Lisa, Tim, Roy and Dennis Nations and Bo Dixon Jr.; 18 great-grandchildren, Charlie and McKenzie Murphy, Lil Man McElroy, Tarah and Trevarh Badget, Mandalynn, Carolynn and Tommy McCoy III, Destiny and Zack Gossett, Laura and Cody Ladnier, Samantha and Katie Hester, Shayne and Hazil Adams, Jacey and Riley Watson; special friend, Henry Logan; and her beloved dog, Cookie.
Pallbearers included Billy, Dennis and Roy Nations, the Natchez Police Department, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office and the Adams County Volunteer Fire Department.
