VIDALIA — Services for Colmetta F. Myers, 86, of Vidalia, who died Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Vidalia with the Rev. Dan Glen and Dr. Ralph Webber officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Vidalia.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Myers was born Jan. 25, 1923, in Bude, the daughter of John E. Foster and Pearl Foster. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Vidalia for 56 years.
She was preceded in death by one son, Tommy Myers; her parents; and one brother, J.W. Foster.
Survivors include her husband, James W. Myers; two sons, Jimmy Myers and wife, Pat, and Johnny Myers and wife, Susan, all of Ferriday; three grandsons, Jay Myers and wife, Tracy, and children, Lyndsey and Lauren, John Erick Myers and wife, Lyndsy, and daughter, Kinley, and Bo Myers; six sisters, Ruby Todd, Juanita Barletta, Detress Wilson, Dorothy McFarland and husband, Ralph, Betty Touchstone and Judy Hamilton and husband, Jerry; one brother, James E. Foster and wife, Louise; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jay Myers, Bo Myers, John Erick Myers, Larry Todd, Edward Lee and Walley Wallace.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
