NATCHEZ — A photo by Democrat Web editor and photographer Ben Hillyer is featured as a part of the New York Times photojournalism blog “Lens.”

The blog encouraged its thousands of readers to submit photos taken by cell phone cameras.

The blog — lens.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/07/10/readers-3/ — received 1,524 photo submissions. Editors chose 353 to post online.

Hillyer’s photo, of tomatoes, is featured on the first page of the entries. It’s the fourth photo over on the third row.
