NATCHEZ — A Natchez man was killed Friday when he was ejected from the vehicle he was riding in on U.S. 61 in Jefferson County, according to Mississippi Highway Patrol Public Affairs Officer Sgt. Rusty Boyd.
Parminder Singh, 48, 306 Live Oak Drive, was northbound on U.S. 61 when she apparently lost control of the 2002 Ford van she was driving, running off the left side of the roadway and rolling the van before it came to a stop on its roof.
The vehicle’s passenger, Pushpinder P. Singh, 46, 306 Live Oak Drive, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by the Jefferson County coroner.
Parminder Singh was transported to Natchez Regional Medical Center with minor injuries, Boyd said.
The passenger was the driver’s brother, Boyd said.
The men were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident, Boyd said.
