Natchez needs recycling center soon

Dear Mayor Middleton,
I am a concerned citizen of Natchez, and I have a question for you.
Why don’t we have a recycling center here in Natchez?
Every day I put something like an empty plastic bottle or an old newspaper in the garbage can, and about two days a week I see the garbage truck drive away with it.
Just the other day, I was in town paying bills when I stopped by the sanitation department. It was then I learned this town doesn’t have a recycling center.
Also, there is litter everywhere on the roads we travel on. I won’t name names, but there are plenty of people who throw out trash and think they won’t get caught. When it gets picked up, it comes right back the very next day.
So Mayor Middleton, when this letter shows up in The Natchez Democrat, I hope you will read it and realize there are certain citizens in this town that are sick and tired of the growing trash problem. It is beginning to stink!
This town needs a recycling center for both the town and the county as soon as possible.
